It’s the time of year when Trader Joe’s brings out some of its best cookies for the holiday season.I always look forward to indulging in their treats. Choosing just one each time I go to the store can be a difficult feat, but I’ve made a list of some of Trader Joe’s best holiday treats (and my recommendations) to make your shopping experience a tad easier.
- Belgian Cookie Collection
These are my absolute favorite holiday cookies. They have a similar version at Costco by Kirkland, but the Trader Joe’s cookies are definitely more accessible for LC students. The iconic red tin contains twelve types of cookies, many of which are covered in chocolate. My favorites are the chocolate dipped shortbreads—everyone can find a cookie they’ll love in the collection.
- Mini Gingerbread People
The Mini Gingerbread People are perfect for those who want the holiday gingerbread experience without having to make gingerbread themselves (which can be an arduous process). Packaged in a bright green patterned box, these bite sized gingerbread men are the perfect snack or dessert.
- Jingle Jangle
Unlike their Riverdale namesake, Trader Joe’s Jingle Jangle is a great holiday snack, with a mix of milk and dark chocolate covered pretzels, peanut butter cups, popcorn, Joe-Joe cookie pieces, and red M&Ms. This sweet holiday snack is a fan-favorite, so make sure to check it out!
- Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels
These chocolates make for a great stocking stuffer for your chocoholic friends. The sweetness of the dark chocolate perfectly balances the touch of saltiness.
- Baton Lover’s Quartet
I’ve always enjoyed Trader Joe’s Cocoa Baton cookies throughout the year, but their special holiday collection has been a pleasant surprise. The quartet comes with four flavors: Chocolatey Orange, Cookies & Cream, Cocoa, and Hazelnut. My favorite is the Chocolatey Orange, but they are all delicious and do not fail to disappoint.
- Decorate Your Own Holiday Ornaments Cookie Kit
This item includes eight baked cookies, icing, and sprinkles for people to use in their cookie decorating adventures. Cookie decorating is a classic holiday activity, and Trader Joe’s makes this process easier with their convenient kit.
- And The Astounding Multi-Flavor Joe-Joe’s
Joe-Joe’s are a beloved Trader Joe’s cookie and are pretty good by themselves. However, these special holiday Joe-Joe’s are covered in chocolate and feature unique flavors, including double chocolate, peppermint, peanut butter, and vanilla ginger. The added chocolates and sprinkles elevate the otherwise simple cookie to a mouthful of rich flavor. 10/10 recommend!
